The open barn provides a kind of indoor market for local food artisans in meat, vegetables, bread, dry goods, and groceries, with some proprietary brands. It is a typical eponymous farm shop that aims to convince people of something special and community inspired. Such markets are common nowadays, with small-scale produced 'quality' supplies easily available. I didn't find anything I bought here especially better than in any other such outlets, although just as good. An English breakfast, eaten outside overlooking animal pens, was generous and tasty, apparently using food from the barn itself. (Visited 2015/16/17).
- Karen Wardle Review added: 2018.02.14★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Disappointed .... went especially to buy steak for family meal. Butcher was not helpful. My Husband is trained chef and required certain sized fillets. Butcher offered him tail end of fillet, not great quality either. He declined to cut fillets as requested. First rule of customer service, listen to the customer. They knows what they want. Result = loss of large sale. Trying to support local businesses and produce ... well listen to the customer next time.
